Saundra McGuire an Eduflow Top 100 Learning Influencer

The National College Learning Center Association proudly announces that Dr. Saundra McGuire has been named to Eduflow’s Top 100 Learning Influencers list.

Eduflow states that their list was “curated through extensive research and input from hundreds of experts in the field” to identify 100 individuals “who have been instrumental to getting the industry to where it is today.”

“I was shocked to be included on this list (which includes Maria Montessori),” stated Dr. McGuire, “and I know it’s in huge part due to my colleagues in NCLCA.”

Dr. McGuire is the Director Emerita of the Center for Academic Success and Professor Emerita of Chemistry at Louisiana State University. In 2015, Saundra wrote Teach Students How to Learn: Strategies You Can Incorporate into Any Course to Improve Student Metacognition, Study Skills, and Motivation. A version directed at students, Teach Yourself How to Learn: Strategies You Can Use to Ace Any Course at Any Level, was published in 2018 and is an essential text at many institutions worldwide.

The photo featured with this announcement features Dr. McGuire and her husband on the red carpet at the 2022 Louisiana Legends gala hosted by Louisiana Public Broadcasting. Dr. Saundra McGuire and Dr. Stephen McGuire were honored as “Louisiana’s best and brightest,” naming them “Louisiana Legends.” Louisiana Public Broadcasting states that the 2022 honorees “have distinguished themselves in fields as diverse as broadcasting, philanthropy, science, sports, environmental conservation, and the humanities.”
