Description:
The role of a learning center administrator is both complex and multifaceted. It requires navigating the daily and long-term challenges of managing peer tutoring programs while thinking strategically across multiple levels. Each center is shaped by the unique campus community it serves, yet administrators everywhere face common themes—balancing institutional priorities, managing diverse relationships with students, colleagues, faculty, and administrators, and responding to the ever-evolving demands of a busy center.
This session will explore the core elements of learning center administration, including assessment, outreach, and student employment. Together, we’ll examine how to anchor our administrative work in what matters most: championing a learner-centered approach to education. Participants will leave with insights and strategies for becoming more intentional and visionary advocates within their institutions.
